Well here goes. The first picture was taken 11 years ago when re rebuilt our house. If you have never been involved in building a brand new house, from tearing down the old one through getting the new one finished, you don’t know what you are missing. It was an experience I will never forget. There was wood all over. The second photo shows about the only wood at our bus facility in Kalihi. The last photo I wanted to share to show what someone painted on the wooden wall around the construction of the new Entrance for the Honolulu Zoo. I think it is fantastic. I hope you enjoy.
Hey, it’s only my opinion.

Mahalo for stopping by. I appreciate it and am glad you enjoyed
Well… we never tore a house down — but we built this one from scratch – and it was a lot of FUN! Sort of. It took our builder 9 months to build our 3 month house. Don’t ask… I’ve gotten over it! LOL!
I LOVE that wall! Isn’t that just sO much better than plain wood?
It was a real experience doing the house. I love that wall and it is so wonderful with the artwork on it
So far we haven’t had the pleasure(?) of tearing down or building.
Love that painting!
It’s a real experience my friend. Have a good one.
What interesting and SUNNY photos! I like each one!
Thank you. I’m glad you enjoyed
That wall is beautiful! Enjoyed your photos and post. I hope the weather is not giving you lots of trouble today—I heard about the warning for Hawaii on the news this morning.
I’m glad you enjoyed. Yes we are getting a Tsunami in about 3 hours. YIKES…

I love coming here and seeing photos of things I know — although your house does look a bit different these days.
Indeed it does Q. Much better. Glad you enjoyed these
these are nice shots. love the painted wall
Thanks. Most people seem to like that one
Three great photos Thom! That bus stop is too cute.
Glad you liked that. They all look like that
Wow, a wooden wall, very cute. We only get boring brick, cement or stucco usually
LOl..yeah that would be rather boring I would say
Hahaha, why didn’t I think of all the wood that goes into building a house!? Great idea! There’s no telling how much lumber went into the framing of our new house and now more wood is going to be delivered for the trimwork and cabinets! Love that colorful wall!
I tell you it is something else to have a house built and be there through every step. Our contractors were so sick of me LOL. Glad you enjoyed
Rebuilding looks like lots of work. The mural is great.
