Sunday Stealing – The Pretentious Blogging Meme 2

written by Thom - February 6th, 2010 at 11:33 am

A note from Judd…

Hi everyone and welcome to this year’s Super Sunday Stealing! Today our meme originated from TWO sources. When I edited last week’s meme, most questions were multiple questions. So I separated them. It was suppose to be an 18 question meme. When I realized that 7 questions were missing, it was too late. At least a dozen people had already done the meme. So the first questions today are from the meme we stole from Little Bark from the blog
The Tree Unleashed. Last week a player, Going Lik e Sixty added questions of his own and invited us to use them this week. So we took the questions that I didn’t published (Boy, was Bud pissed! Only joking…) and most of Sixty’s questions and we now have part two of a 25 question meme. If you missed last week, here’s your chance to do a two for one!

Welcome back to Sunday Stealing. Sunday Stealing originated on WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of memes from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent memes. You may have heard of the expression, “honor amongst thieves”. In that age-old tradition, we also have our rules. First, we always credit the blog that we stole it from and we will “fess up” to the blog owner where we stole the meme. We also provide a link to the victim’s post. (It’s our way of saying “Thanks!”) We do sometimes edit the original meme, usually to make it more relevant to our global players, to challenge our players, sometimes to select that meme’s best questions, or simply to make it less repetitive from either this new meme or recently asked questions from a prior featured meme. Let’s go!

12. How many drafts of potential blog posts do you have right now? 2 drafts and 16 scheduled.

13. In what medium do you draft your posts? Don’t do mediums. I am not a psychic.

14. How often do you completely scratch or delete drafts or blog post ideas? Rarely.

15. If you had to leave your blog in your will to another blogger, who would you choose? When I die it dies.

16. Are there other blogs that you feel are similar to yours in content, style, or voice? Yes.

17. Has anything surprised you since you started blogging? Yup.

18. What are your goals or plans for your blog going forward? None. I do what I gotta do.

19. Do you make any money from your blog? (optional) about how much a month? Nope.

20. What blogging system do you use? WordPress if that’s what you mean by system.

21. How did you come up your blog name? From my brain obviously.

22. How many blogs do you have? What was your peak? Two and I don’t know cuz I don’t care.

23. Are you having as much fun as when you started? More.

24. Where do you find other bloggers like you? There are none really. I’m one of a kind.

25. What’s your one wish when it comes to blogging? That when you comment on someone’s blog they at least have the courtesy to comment on your blog and not just say I’m here because of a link and/or not respond to the post or your blog at all.

Barbara, forgive me for this but I gotta say it. I’m highly disappointed in the meme this week. Questions left NO creativity for answers and WTF it’s Superbowl Weekend. It should have been about FOOTBALL!!!.

GO SAINTS!!!!

Thank you for playing this week on Sunday Stealing! Please leave a comment or link when you have posted. Feel free to stop back and visit other player’s posts. Have a great week. See you next Sunday!

Cheers to all us thieves!

Hey, it’s only my opinion.

A Hui Hou

  1. You are definitely one a kind – the good kind.

16 posts scheduled – really? I am humbled by your planning.

    A Boy and His Toy

  2. Maybe Barbara thought you’d be too busy making pupus for tomorrow that you wouldn’t notice the questions LOL

Good for you on #25 — so help me if we could reach through these screens and slap some people, there’d be some slappin’! I don’t mind links in comments at all because they make it easier to visit, but when the links are longer than the comment itself (or when the whole comment is “thanks for visiting MMYYYY blog”), yeah see how fast I come running ROFL.

    • LOL…I never thought of that. May she would think that :) I don’t mind the links in the comment. It’s not that. The links I’m talking about are something that gets you blog hopping and they say they are here just because of that. I’ll be running as fast as your are trust me LOL

      • I dropped a blogger recently because she almost never commented on my post. She would come to my blog to tell me about her. When I pointed out to her that just stopping by to leave a link to her own post and not actually commenting on my post was spam, Thom told her she wasn’t doing anything wrong! Pft.

        • That’s not what I remember reading and commenting on. What I thought I was saying was okay was her promoting her blog on another persons blog and I also thought when I told her this was it didn’t have anything to do with your blog at all Q. Wasn’t she promoting some contest she wanted to do?

  3. FOOTBALL!!!! So who are you rootin’ for, Thom?

  4. I was rather pleased to find something NOT football based. Even so, it wasn’t one of the better memes, but they can’t be perfect every time!

  5. Ahhh I’m so with you on 25, and yes, my blog dies with me too. But it’s Super Bowl Weekend for you. How exciting! sending cheers…!

  6. Wow 16 schedule to release.
I really didn’t even know that you can “schedule” posts.
I enjoyed stopping by your blog!

  7. I hope people know whatever Barbara you are talking to up there isn’t me. :D

Yep, you’re definitely one if a kind. :)

And I may be the only person in the US not interested in the super bowl…

    • Okay…my lips are sealed. :) I’m going to let you in on a secret. There are at least two of you not interested in the Superbowl. My mom is right there with ya :) LOL. Have a great Sunday :)

  8. Woo, someone is a bit snarky today :)
    Happy Weekend!

  9. Good answers to dull questions. Especially liked the medium answer, and where you got your blog name (brains are always good for stuff like that). Have a great Sunday.

  10. WTH- Medium??
Yep, you are indeed one of a kind… lol

  11. Thom, very impressive on your scheduled posts! I agree with you 1oo% on #25.

Go Saints! (Just because I have good numbers in the FB pool). Half time for me for the commercials!

    • Oooh good for your and the pool. I hope you win. Well scheduling is the only way I can keep up LOL. Glad you agree on 25. :) Have a great Sunday :)

  12. You are one of a kind for sure! I always get a good laugh here! Go Saints!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. well, this meme definitely made you answer in a more serious manner than your usual one of a kind self :)

    superbowl – whazzat?
(i know, i know, just have to tease you a little… i don’t give a rotten fig about it)

  14. First thing I thougt of when I saw today’s meme was, OH GOD, there’s a part two!
You did with the answers… loved the medium one, I had the same thought, but couldn’t verbalize it – good job.
I was torn with the Super Bowl, I love the Manning boys (really a NY Giants fan) but I thought a Saints win would be good for New Orleans – so whoever won would be OK with me. It was the first year in a LONG time that the two best teams were in the final game.
Congrats to the Who Dat Nation!!

  15. 2 drafts and 16 scheduled…I’m impressed! I have 1 scheduled for about 30 minutes from now LOL

I did well in December and January at blogging every day…I think my new goal needs to be to try to blog ahead!

  16. I agree with you about the meme. I tend to answer the question I think they meant or long form it answer or ask a question in response. Sometimes, even that doesn’t work. But I love/hate memes.
