Silly Haiku Wednesday – Changes
As you know I entered a Photo Contest. It’s called January’s Photo Contest: The New Year. Well, yes you are going to see this on every post and yes I know I’m pimping my entry, but oh well. How else am I gonna win? LOL. All kidding aside, if and when you go to the site, please just take a look around. There aren’t very many entries this month and people took time to do this and they are all good and depict the theme very well. So I would appreciate it if you would take the time to go HERE to vote for the one you think should win. Voting is open from January 24 through the 27th. You can only vote once. You have my undying gratitude. Mahalo!!!

Silly Haiku Wednesday is hosted by Jenn at You know… that Blog?. Mahalo Jenn for hosting.
Haiku is simple! It is 3 non-rhyming lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively (a great way to use your fingers!)
Of course this will be a post for a brand new adventure that Dr. John at Dr. John’s Fortress has started. Please click on his blog link or the picture below for further instructions. Mahalo Dr. John for hosting this new adventure. I look forward to it.

(noun ) used from 1623 -1658
It means unluckiness
No scaevity involved.
Blink your eyes. Bingo!

Hey, it’s only my opinion.
A Hui Hou

Whoa, a two-fer, two games in one haiku! Well done. Dr. John’s a good influence on you.
Well thank you. I hope I had the correct syllables with the word. I didn’t know how to pronounce it LOL
You are a natural at this! Great haiku and good word usage.
LOL…Well thank you Q. I don’t know how natural..It took me a while on Monday to change what I had to come up with this LOL>
I guess “involved” could have 3 syllables… heehee! Wonder how many people are going to have to look that word up, Thom
Good one!!
Have a fabulous trip, my friend.
p.s. there appears to be some different thoughts on what the word means – I came up with that definition, as well as “hidden luck”.
LOL OBO. I had scaevity as 4 syllables. I drove myself crazy trying to find out how many and how to say it. So I made it 4 and involved stayed at 2 LOL. I just used what Dr. John said it was
I think you should become a professional author with all of your writing creativity
I wonder how much it would pay? LOL
Nice haiku Thom – and clever to get that word in! You’re amazing…but you knew that.
Actually my friend, it’s called lucky LOL. Thanks I’m glad you enjoyed
How the hell you managed to work that word into a haiku? Amazing. Just got home from Dr appt and hospital visits so I guess I should do mine!Pretty clever on your part Thom!
xoxoxoxoxox
LOL…this wasn’t easy believe me. Usually the minute I see the word something creeps into my head. But this, when I decided to use the word it too forever it seemed like.
Hope all is going well at the hospital
xxoxox
Great how you worked in your word – I got the Forgotten English word a day calendar for Christmas because I tend to use some archaic words from time to time – chalk it up to being a voracious reader as a youth and being raised by a man wh o was in his 80′s when I was born!
Today my word is:
dern – of actions done or proceeding in secret.
You know my friend, if you like those words you should do Quilly’s Three Word Thursday. It’s great and it doesn’t have to be a long story. Thanks for the new word for today
maybe I’ll check it out 2moro
Well as I say it doesn’t have to be a long story and if you like words it’s fun to do
you clever man!
Thank you my friend. Glad you enjoyed
LOL! GREAT job! And I can’t count your 2nd line syllables – cuz I don’t know how to pronounce it either. I THINK skay-vit-ee … but don’t hold me to it!
Well I put it at 4. Sca-e-vi-ty is how I did it. I searched high and low for the answer to that and I could come up with it. Oh well. It’s a done deal now. Glad you enjoyed
whoa! a new word! a great haiku, too!
Thank you my friend. Yeah, compliments of Dr. John LOL
a haiku with a touch of tiger
ROFLMAO!! So true my friend. So true
Thank you for including that definition. I never heard of that word before =)
You are most welcome. I hadn’t either. But you’ll see it again tomorrow in 3WT
lost words!?
i’ve lost my mind…
i think i last saw it in the hardware store
near the paint scrapers!
ROFLMAO!!! This is a brilliant comment my friend. I love it.
I have not seen that word yet. One addition to my vocabulary. HeheheheI thought you mispelled a word.
ROFLMAO!!! Nope it’s on our list for the 3WT stories this week
