She Shopped ‘Til She Well……

First let me say that I have been very busy and am not ignoring your comments here or avoiding your blogs. With my Belgian Bombshell here and other events going on at home it’s been quiet busy so I will do the best I can for the next week. Good excuse don’t cha think? LOL

Well yesterday started off with Jientje, Nalu and myself going off for a walk in the morning to Kuliouou Beach Park. Of course Ella was right at the door greeting us and Nalu wasn’t so sure of the little tart, but they got along after some initial sniffs and tail wagging.

I tell you, one thing that you have to get use to with Jientje is she is never without her camera. She is continually taking pictures of everything in any way she can think of.

Well after our walk I drop her off back at Quilly’s, go home and get ready and go back and pick them up as we have decided to go out west to Makaha. Ella of course gets in the car early and while waiting decides to try her hand at a ciggy. Needless to say after a few puffs and hacks she decides it’s not for her. So off we go

First we have to stop at Kahala Mall so Jientje can get some flip flops slippers. Jientje informs Quilly and myself that it’s all about serendipity and hence, no slippers were found at Long’s. Oh well, better luck next time. While they are looking for the slippers I go and get us each a pretzel. Jientje is also very deliberate when she eats and enjoys her food to the max, as does Quilly, while I on the other hand just eat to eat. Jientje is not amused by my eating habits I tell ya. LOL

So off we go to Makaha with Jientje taking photos of passing cars and scenery all the way out. We stop at a beach in Nanakuli and Jientje is taking photos of everything and collecting odds and ends from the beach to use in some art work somehow while Quilly, Ella and I watch her enjoy the beach. It is here that my camera dies. Way to go Thom for remembering to charge the battery. Thank goodness for iPhones.

We continue on our journey stopping by where Quilly use to teach and go up and see where she use to live. On the way down Quilly suggests that we stop at this little store so Jientje could possibly get her slippers and batteries for her camera, as it ran out as well. Jientje didn’t bring extra batteries. So in we go and I swear it was almost 2 hours later we come out with new dresses, shoes, bra’s and things that Jientje purchased. Jientje informs us that a bra and shoes have to grow on you and she walks around in them all over the store to get the feeling. Tries on tons of clothes. So while this is going on Ella takes over as a clerk in the store and gets behind the computer and the girls there just have to get her some bracelets and I purchase her some earrings so she looks a bit more local.

By this time it’s time to head back home to go to a barbecue at Lisa’s. I drop Quilly, Jientje and Ella off at their house and go to Lisa’s. Jientje and Quilly arrive about an hour later and we had good barbecued hamburgers and pupu’s. Of course, Jientje as gotten the batteries for her camera and is taking more photos. We all enjoyed the dinner and it was a perfect ending for a perfect day.

    Oh wow, Jientje is there with you and Quilly. I’m sure you’re having loads of fun. I can tell by the photos.

      i look at your posts often
      but i never comment
      well, today i just had to!
      i had a little shock when i saw ella smoking – nobody smokes anymore. sometimes i feel like such a criminal for smoking, hiding in amongst dumpsters and behind fences… and there she was smoking, right out in the open! way to go!

      i did enjoy your photo set,you have a good eye!

    OK, so you did get to a beach — just not the one you were heading to when you stopped at the one store. Somehow I thought from Quilly’s that Jientje hadn’t gotten to a beach at all yet.

    Looks like everyone’s having fun, unexpected shopping trips and all.

      Oh no Barbara. It was just another beach I wanted to go to…she’s been at the beach. That shopping though…geeze…I’m not a shopper :)

      Well look at today’s post. No coconut bra yet. They don’t make them her size. But I’m still looking. Don’t you dare show your husband. I only do that in RARE cases…LOL It wasn’t me who stole the smoke..it was Ella…I dunno why my darlin’ is chewing me LOL

    Hi Thom,

    I love this post. It’s very cool.
    Also, Ella is a cute little thing.

    You know, the funny picture where she’s smoking. Oohhhh, that must be a no-no. LOL-:) But I like. Beause I smoke, and I am not hidding myself in any bush about it. I smoked for 34 years. My parents taught me, because smoking was considered to be classy at that time.
    Noone smokes anymore. But. Chewing tobacco is very trendy here, and I can tell you it’s more disgusting than smoking. My sun in law spit his damn chewing tobacco in the bin, and it stinks like an old drunk-:)

      Ella is a tart LOL. She just gets into everything. But she’s fun. Yeah I agree with you on chewing. I can’t stand that…so I’ll sit and smoke and so can Ella…it’s my car LOL

      Ella came with Jientje. That elephant is a trip I tell ya. LOL. It’s real fun. Oh and you should see all the pictures. Go to Flickr LOL. There is no shame in Jientje. Having a good time :)
