Scenic Sunday

The Holleys host Scenic Sunday. Thanks a lot for hosting. From the Scenic Sunday blog comes this:

Scenic Sunday is a photo meme of the scenery. It can be landscapes, buildings, flowers, or anything you feel it’s a scenery photo. This meme will be held every Weekend. To join, just post your scenery shots on your blog and link back to Scenic Sunday. Please do visit each other and comment.”

In downtown Honolulu, fronting the old Judiciary Building, is one of our biggest tourist attractions. It’s the KING KAMEHAMEHA STATUE. You can click that link and find out more about it. It’s a beautiful sight and I thought I would share it this week. I hope you enjoy.

Have a very happy Scenic Sunday everyone!

Hey, it’s only my opinion.

  1. Very nice — so uniquely Hawaiian.

  2. Cool shot of the king. Aloha Thom!

  3. A great looking statue. Thank you for sharing :)

  4. Not often that you see a statue in more than one colour tone! Very impressive scene!

  5. He looks so dignified and majectic!

  6. I visited the Judiciary Building and Museum a couple of times when I lived in Hawaii.

    I miss Hawaii :(

  7. I have seen him…or, the statue, I mean. Your posts always bring back nice memories of our visits there…I guess, that’s what friends are for!

  8. He’s looking magnificent against the stone — and I’m not just saying that because he’s not wearing any pants.
