Scenic Sunday 90
The Holleys host Scenic Sunday. Thanks a lot for hosting. From the Scenic Sunday blog comes this:
“Scenic Sunday is a photo meme of the scenery. It can be landscapes, buildings, flowers, or anything you feel it’s a scenery photo. This meme will be held every Weekend. To join, just post your scenery shots on your blog and link back to Scenic Sunday. Please do visit each other and comment.”
This week I decided to try a black and white photo. This is on the boat on the way to the Arizona Memorial. It was one of the last things I had the pleasure to do with Quilly and Charley before their move to Friday Harbor. I like this photo and you are looking back towards the Visitors Center and seeing the Ko’olau Mountain Range. I hope you enjoy.
Have a very happy Scenic Sunday everyone!
Hey, it’s only my opinion.

From sea to shining sea and mountains’ majesty. I like the composition of this photo and B & W is always a favorite of mine.
It’s quickly becoming a favorite of mine as well. Glad you enjoyed.
I LOVE this! Black and white really brings out the emotion on this one! Happy Easter to you!
I think so as well. I’m so glad you enjoyed
That’s a *wonderful* shot, in any size or colour — especially in the context of visiting the memorial!
I thought so do. I like the B&W on this one myself
What a great shot Thom.
Happy Easter
Same to you my friend. And thank you
Beautiful!

Thom, this is a superb shot. I am truly impressed. Wow! I am also jealous. I wish I had thought of that!
Why thank you Q. Much appreciated.
i must agree with everybody – this is an excellent shot, and BW wins!
I tend to agree with you. Mahalo my friend
A very interesting perspective looking stunning in mono!
Yes I like it in mono as well
An interesting photo in b & w. Nice composition:)
Indeed. Thank you
Great shot, I like taht you captured the flag waving.
Thank you very much. I liked that as well
Thom, this photo is so provocative. I love it. I remember visiting the memorial and what a solemn experience it was. Because we’re military we had access to Ft. Shafter as well and saw the scars the bullets made on the buildings as the Japanese strafed the base. It really reminds us that freedom is NOT free and it is WORTH fighting for…thanks for the great inspiration shot!
I’m really glad you do. I’ve seen some of those buildings in Ft. Shafter (one of our bus routes was routed through there for years) And you are so right about freedom.
You are most welcome my friend.
Great angled shot Thom! The b/w shot pretty!
Thanks. I got real lucky with the angle on the one
That’s a great black and white picture Thom.
Mahalo
I really thought it was pretty good myself
