Rest In Peace Dixie Carter

written by Thom - April 10th, 2010 at 8:28 pm

One of my favorite shows of all times was Designing Women. I just read that one of the stars, Dixie Carter passed away today. I’m very sorry to hear that. She was such a big part of the show and was always the level headed one. Anyway, from one of the sites I follow they had the following YouTube video that shows her at her best and I want to share it with you. Rest in Peace Dixie Carter.

Hey, it’s only my opinion.

She said it all in one breath?
Thank you for showing us. I have never known or see her but as friend, I share your loss.

  2. I just read about this….sad. Just a little over a week ago Hal Holbrook was supposed to be here for his one man show “Mark Twain”…and it was canceled for ‘family reasons’…I’m now wondering if that was part of it all…

    Sad, sad, sad.

  3. Ah what a shame. She was a remarkable woman. I remember that episode well – all of them really. It was a great show!

  4. Yeah, she was a star in her own right, what a loss.

  5. Oh she was a great actress! This is the first I’m hearing about it :0(
Hope your Sunday is relaxing Thom…

  6. She was amazing. I always wanted to be like that when I grew up. Her and Rosalind Russell’s Auntie Mame. :) She was a class act.

  7. never heard of her before but… oh well, every loss is sad in its own peculiar way.
    RIP Dixie!

  8. Loved that show. Dixie Carter was an amazing actress. R.I.P.
