Today my Grandmother would be 92 years young. As many of you know, she died in March of this year. You can read the post HERE. I’m sure she is ordering my Grandfather around now and being the bossy woman she always was. I can see my Grandfather rolling his eyes. Too funny. She was a great woman and the best Grandmother that any child could ever want. She cooked great, cleaned, made us behave, and did almost everything we wanted. Just a wonderful, caring and loving woman (when she wasn’t issuing orders Happy Birthday GM. I love you :)

This weeks meme: The Bucket list and other oddities

1. Do you have a bucket list?(if you have it posted fill free to post your URL)
If you don’t have one, then quick jot down 5 quick things on a piece of paper that you know you’d want on your list…or imagine some of the things you know you’d put on a Bucket list to be. Dont’ know what a bucket list is but I have a bucket.

2. Do you think you have fulfilled anything on your bucket list or bucket list to be? I fill my bucket with whatever suits my fancy.

3. what are the top 3 things you’d like to do before you leave this world? Who say’s I’m leaving this world? I don’t think NASA has started taking on paying customers yet but when they do I would take my toothbrush, clothes and my wallet.

4. If it would take a lot of money to fulfill one of your wishes on your bucket list, would you try to find the money or just skip that one? Of course I would. How else could I get my ticket on NASA’s spaceship?

5. fill in the blank -Life is just a blast.

6. fill in the blank – The glass isn’t half empty it’s in the sink waiting to be washed.

7. If you had a chance to be with your MOST favorite entertainer in the whole world before you leave this world, who would that be and how much time would you want to spend with them? It would be no one as I’m in my space suit, buckled up and waiting for liftoff.

8. If you were given the chance to go anywhere in the world before the end comes…where would you go and what would you want to see? NASA’s training facility so I could prepare for my journey.

    What a great tribute to your grandmother Thom. I think she was one hell of a lady indeed!
    You don’t know what a bucket list is? Oh Thom, even I knew that LOL!
    But you’re right, I don’t want to think about that too much either!

    Your grandmother sounds like one fantastic lady. And I know how proud you are…tho she’s gone from your lives in flesh, she still lives, her memory can still be celebrated!!

    I went back and read the post about your grandmother’s service and have to say that I think that’s what funerals should be like — a gathering of family and friends sharing their memories and celebrating the life of the deceased. Happy Birthday, Thom’s grandma!

    I’ve seen people post about bucket lists before, but I don’t know what one is, either. Maybe someone will fill us in.

    Hi Thom..great answers…you have a thing for space don’t you.. I think you’ll need a LOT of money for that! heck take out a loan…it’d not like you ever will have to pay it back :-)

    My Grandparents were my very best friends Thom I know how hard it can be to give them up!You
    are lucky you had her this long I have not seen mine in 20 years…. Loved your 8 the one about the glass in the sink *Priceless*!

    Bucket lists are great. It’s a list of things you want to do before you kick. It can be serious or outrageous.

    I started my list early and I’ve already done some things on it.

    I am not making a bucket list. That would imply that I’m planning to die — and that’s one thing I DON’T want to plan on!

    My glass is most usually empty and sitting on the corner of my desk! And Thom, dearest, you’re already a space cadet!

    It sounds like your grandmother was one of those really great people that come into our lives every once in a while. She lived to a ripe old age and that’s a blessing to you and your family. I bet her teaching and influence is living on along side her memory.

    Sorry about your Grandma, lovely tribute though. I miss mine terribly but i’m sure she’s up there just waiting to kick my butt for one or many things lol. Sooooooooo i’ll be putting off seeing her as long as I can. With any luck, when I do get there, Pawpaw will hold her back lol.

    thom, how sweet that was for you to put that on your blog about GM…. yesterday we took flowers to her crypt and said happy birthday to her and then had everyone up for dinner.. it was a good evening. she is missed by us all….
