Dedicate a song to a friend or loved one

Because our Irish Wench Susan at Stony River Farm has a big trip coming up and about to begin a new adventure, I thought she could use all the help she could get. So Susan this is dedicated to you. I wish you all the luck in the world and know that anything you need You’ve Got a Friend. Carole King says it best and she’s got me moving this week. I hope you enjoy.

Have a Happy Musical Monday Everyone!

Hey, it’s only my opinion.

  1. Thom;

    Have always loved this song.
    Still singing it to myself!
    Great choice.

  2. I love this song! And you know, it suits you well. You saved Amoeba and I more than once!

  3. This was one of my favorites as a teen-ager.

  4. One of my all time favorites! You’ve got me humming it again! Thanks!

    Sylvia

  5. Great song!

The only dedicating I’ve done recently is changing my brother’s ringtone on my phone to “You Can’t Hide Redneck” by Tracy Lawrence.

And my daughter’s ringtone on my phone to “Hillbilly Bone” by Blake Shelton.

  6. I like Carole King and this song. Happy Monday, Thom.

    P.S.
Thanks for dropping by on my latest post. I couldn’t blog since Saturday. I’m either waiting for what the repairman would say or I’m buying a new computer in a few days, and I got important chores to accomplish on top of everything. I will miss blogging but will get back as soon as I can. Meanwhile you have a great week!

    • You are most welcome my friend. I hope you get your computer problems solved soon. I really miss your daily thought provoking posts :) You have a great week as well :)

  7. Love her.. love this song.. Good choice

    Love,
    kelly

  8. You won’t believe this but it is the honest truth. I saw the title about dedicate a song to a friend at the top and this is exactly the song I thought of.
Carol King was my ‘Idol’. Her Tapestry eight track (yeah, I’m old) was the first I bought myself when I had my first summer job.
We like a lot of the same music I’ve noticed. :)

    • Oh I remember buying that 8 Track tape as well. Along with the Monkey’s LOL. I have her whole album on my iTunes. I love it. :) Glad you enjoyed :)

  9. Always love this song and what a great way to start out the week. Thanks Thom. It is a good memory song.

  10. Nice, Thom. I bet she can feel the Earth move under feet, too.

  11. Thom? You have a heart of gold!! This is so wonderful of you…and your choice in song is just perfect.

Now, regarding your comment…..I can’t believe it about the Rockies….and since we’re in TX the only two locally televised games are Astros and on the other sports station…the Texans. And to think….I missed the most wonderful outcome of the Colorado game. Dang!! Of course, Bud and I were out all day celebrating his birthday, so I woulda missed it anyway. LOL

But to be sure, I’m heading out on the ‘net to get recaps of it all.

    Have a terrific Monday.

    • Mahalo my friend. I love this song.

Well I’m sorry you missed it but I’m sure you will find it on the net. :) Again I hope Bud had a wonderful Birthday;) Have a great Monday :)
