Musical Monday – What Moves You?
With Spring right around the corner and so many people having such crappy weather I decided on Gale Garnett and We’ll Sing In The Sunshine. It’s got me movin’ this week and I hope it moves you as well.

This is a catchy tune and I used to sing it all the time, then one day I listened to the words. You know, I wouldn’t go into a relationship with somebody who told me up front they were only passing through. I know you’re just going to tell me to quit listening to the words.
Well I did it mainly because of the title. I wouldn’t do that either

The song stuck in my head this week is Everybody Was Kung-Fu Fighting. Remember that one? Oy, Gah….how did this happen?
Don’t listen to the story just enjoy the damn tune…Kung Fu Fighting? pfft…”Do you hear the Grasshopper which is at your feet?”

summer lovin’, havin’ a blast! lol that’s what this song’s story reminds me of too. i did have one summer fling once but it was on spring break and we both knew it was.. you know, just a thang lol (i was young! lol)

I remember that from way long ago! I like the title, too, but I didn’t remember the story — like Quilly, I wouldn’t want a relationship like that! But I love the chorus.
