Musical Monday is all about making friends and sharing the music that we love. And we think the more the merrier! I would like to thank Diane at Good Mourning, Glory! for hosting Musical Monday.

When I was up in Seattle, my Mom mentioned how she liked Eric Clapton and his song Alberta. I had totally forgotten about that song and I really like it. So it’s got me moving this week. Thanks Ma.

Hey, it’s only my opinion.

  1. Well the guitar was better than the singing, but it is Clapton, after all. No one does strings better.

    • Clapton is Clapton no matter what he does. You know going on YouTube many times you can’t get the real good one which is a shame. Oh well.

  2. Dearest Thom,

  9. Oh, Thom, thank you!! I am now in a GREAT Blues mood because of this.
Clapton is amazingly talented. I disagree with Quilly about his voice. I’m swinging in my seat over here.

    • I agree with you. He sings well no matter what. Glad it got you in the Blues mood. But I did this not for your weather LOL. Glad you enjoyed :)

  10. This is one of my dad’s favourite songs and he loves to listen to it (and other Clapton stuff) while driving, so for me Clapton is always connected with vacation memories :)

  11. Great song! I was listening to him this weekend with Cream, revisiting the “good old days” (ha!)
