Musical Monday is all about making friends and sharing the music that we love. And we think the more the merrier! I would like to thank Jori and Diane for hosting Musical Monday. Beginning this week we have gone back to themes. WOOT!

This weeks theme is Song You Love To Dance To

Who’s got me moving this week? Well I’m not much of a dancer. Never have been but as many of you know I love Disco. And if I could dance, it would be like Janette and Brandon. They were my two favorites and when I saw them do this on So You Think You Can Dance it became one of my favorites. So LOVIN’ IS REALLY MY GAME by Brainstrom has got me moving this week. Enjoy!!!

    Well, you got me moving too! I SOoooooo enjoyed this Thom! You know this always strikes me as a little bit odd, for someone who does not dance, you sure like to look at it and you have a great taste of music? I have difficulty trying to sit still when I hear music like this!

      Yeah I liked this a lot as well. I’m not a dancer at all but this is awesome. I also have a difficult time sitting still when I hear music like this :)

    Great music and dancers Thom. I love to dance. In fact we’re going to a Motown Night at our local civic centre on Saturday where I can dance all night! :)

    I’ve never watched SYTYCD and never heard of this song, but it’s a fun song and it looks like a great song to dance too…if i only I could dance like them.

    Thom, what immediately leaped to my mind was the song from Dirty Dancing, “Time of My Life” so I went to Youtube to find it. As I looked at those beautiful photos of Patrick Swayze I just got all teary — as I thought of him battling that awful cancer. So, rather than put up a sad blog, I’ll just share it with you here in the comments. Aloha.

      I had forgotten all about that and just got done watching it. It was wonderful. I feel so sorry for him. I was watching his new series on A&E The Beast and it was so good. I’m so sorry he has to battle that damn cancer. Thanks for the wonderful comment. :)

    You know Thom, some Disco was definitely Under Rated. There was some good music that came out of the time, which still holds up today.

    No matter what the case, I’d probably “Snap” something in two if I tried to dance today. :) Though like Jientje said when I hear music like this I got to move something, usually a foot bouncing around. You must have seen the Movie Studio 54, all about the Disco Era.

      Oh my gosh I had forgotten about Amii Stewart. What an excellent video that is. I love it and that music. Disco has and always will be my favorite music. I don’t care how anybody else feels about it. It’s the bomb. And yes I would break something as well I’m sure but as Jientje and you did say, I always move something when I hear music like this :)

    I can’t/won’t/shouldn’t dance I am truly horrible at it but these kids are fantastic. I would get through the first five steps and pass out!
    I don’t watch reality shows but watching these two I got sucked into a time warp until it was over!
    Well Thom I am gonna “Turn out the lights” cuz it’s “My last chance” he he!

    Excellent, Thom! It woke me up nicely today :) 00:30-32 and 1:00-1:-03 are my favorite moves. If I were to attempt even 1/32nd of it I’d surely fall off the stage, lol

    omigosh i’m having a hard time sitting still on this one for sure! my mom was really into disco when i was little so it’s all i heard. so i guess i got a little jive in my blood. lol
