3rd Annual Treat Fest

Hootin’ Anni at Hootin’ Anni’s has started her treat fest for the month of October. Mahalo Hootin’ Anni. Much appreciated. Here is number 1 of 5. :)

Susan at Stony River Farm hosts Microfiction Monday. She posts a picture and you compose a story in 140 characters. You can click on the photo or link above to get further instructions. To help you along she has posted a wonderful link that counts your characters for you! How great is that! You can get the counter at Design 215. This meme is easy and it’s a blast. Mahalo Susan for hosting. This is great fun and I encourage everyone to participate.

HAPPENING

It had flown full circle. How things change and still stay the same. Eyes wondered from above as the smile appeared. It was about to happen.

Have an eventful Microfiction Monday.

NOTE: UPDATE SUNDAY 10/3/10 – This relates back to THIS. I guess I didn’t make it clear.

  1. Please don’t tell me the horse is about to water the crowd?

  2. That’s mysterious! Quilly (as usual!) made me laugh out loud – how perfect!

  3. Very hopeful and expectant! :O)

  4. I love it and I suspect Quilly has got it right! What a hoot! A great one for the day, my friend!

  5. Love the mystery in this one.

  6. Sounds like the beginning of a scifi thriller. My curiosity is piqued.

  7. Gosh;

A mystery from Thom, love it.
If that horse sprays the crowd, I”ll probably wet my pant laughing!

  8. Hhmmmm, grew up on Arabian nights. And can’t wait for the thriller conclusion.

  9. Here Thom is trying to be all mysterious and romantic and you all disallow it! Oh wait . . . it’s Thom, never mind.

    Thom, this is funny . . . I think . . .

  10. ? Ah Sweet Mystery of Life …………? I think Quilly has it down as to what is going to happen. Nice one Thom.

    • Well if I understood Q’s comment I might be able to answer that but since I don’t get it I can’t :)

      • Sorry, Thom. I knew your posts were related. I never thought my silly comment would lead everyone off on a tangent! But hey, you’re the one who told me I was being too boring. Aren’t you glad I’m not now?

        • i never said you were boring. What I said was you do too many paid posts ROFLMAO!! Big difference. You boring…hardly. And look at the enthusiasm your silly little comment has done :) This is the second week in a row you’ve hit a home run with your comments. Boring…pffft!!!

  11. Love the mystery…just to note – flying horses are very discreet.

  12. We’ve flown full circle hopefully to the answer or the beginning of the answer for the two. Or is it the start of the answer.

thanks Thom – it’s so clear – stick with the horse

  13. Like your fiction, Thom. The first reading I got Eyes wandered for Eyes wondered. It made a difference.

If this were a serial I would stay around for the next installment. :)
    ..

  14. Ooo…a mystery! I loved it.

    Have a great week x

  15. Full of Eastern Promise! (as an old advert used to say!)
    Nice words.

  16. Nice teaser…now I’ll be wondering what the heck comes next! Mission accomplished.

  17. I knew exactly what Quilly was thinking because I was thinking exactly the same thing! LOL

  18. I was thinking something rather different! Anyway, I’m glad that joy will be unconfined.

  19. “It was about to happen…” There is a delightful ambiguity here suggesting that the next step in the story could be negative or positive! But then there’s that smile…Lovely!

  20. on my way to comment when i came across quilly’s and i started rolling. i forgot what i wanted to say- something about being spellbinding again. sorry but i must give it to quilly for dowsing that spell and giving this story a different twist. lmao!

  21. I’m sO glad you explained that! I was thinking this was a very VAGUE edition! Even with the explanation… I’m still thinking it a bit vague for you!

    • LOL Yeah it is purposely done like that my darlin’ Don’t wanna give away to much. It will all make sense next week. At least in my eyes it does :)

  22. I’m interested to hear what happens next. Well done :)

  23. Hope it was a safe landing. :)

  24. Awesome. Now this is the kind of story where the horse is in the lead role.

  25. whew, mysterious, intriguing, philosophical all in one MFM who could as for more?
