Microfiction Monday #16

This is a scheduled post. I’ll be back in Honolulu on February 2nd and hopefully back to blogging on the 4th. See ya then.

microfictionmonday

Susan at Stony River Farm hosts Microfiction Monday. She posts a picture and you compose a story in 140 characters. You can click on the photo or link above to get further instructions. To help you along she has posted a wonderful link that counts your characters for you! How great is that! You can get the counter at Design 215. This meme is easy and it’s a blast. Mahalo Susan for hosting. This is great fun and I encourage everyone to participate.

The Picture

Damn cab drivers. You tell them to take you to The Mystery Hole. What do they do? Decide to create their own called Bug in the Hole. Idiots!

Have a buggy Microfiction Monday.

Hey, it’s only my opinion.

  1. LOL! Very good Thom. I wonder what a bus driver would have done?

  2. Bug in a Hole, sounds like a good name for a drink — and maybe that driver had tried a few of them! LOL

  3. LOL. Nice take away Thom. Hope you’ve had a great trip!

I’ve gotta figure out how to schedule posts and have them hang themselves on the sheet automatically!

    Cheers,
    Steven

  4. You have to speak very clearly to some drivers . . .

  5. Bug in the Hole sounds like it goes with the famous British dish Toad in the Hole…blech

    Good job, Thom

  6. Oh good one Thom! Safe journey back tomorrow hon. x

  7. Thom;

I hope you’re having a fab. time on the mainland!
Loved your surprise entry this week.(since you were away)

  9. That is one funny photo Thom!

  10. Oh, love this one! And beware of the ‘bug in the hole’! I’ve heard some pretty spooky talk about that one! Have a safe trip home. Yesterday was fun!

  12. Good one Thom!
And, I know this place well that Susan photographed. The Mystery Hole was just up the road from the college I went to. On a weekend we often drove up the mountain to this spot. Inside is a ‘dizzying’ experience.
Hope you’re having a wonderful time with family. But then, I know you are. :)

  13. well, bug in the hole beats bug in the stew ;)
    good stuff as always!

  14. Rabbit, Rabbit

Great story. That’s what happens when you don’t take the bus.

  15. Funny! What would you have done, Thom? :-)

  16. Well you know SOMEONE has to do all the work to create the tourist traps. :)

    Very funny…I needed a giggle.

  17. LOL poor cab drivers. They can’t win!
