My Birthday Contest

Since my post, Flag Day, A Happy Birthday, A Happy Anniversary and Sunday Stealing – The Blue Rene Meme on Sunday, I have gotten a lot of inquiries as to when my birthday is. First I’m not big on my birthday. It’s just another day. Always been that way and I really don’t care about age, because that also is just another number. I just take each day as it comes. But I thought, my friend Capsun held a contest so I decided I would to. Thanks Capsun for the idea. I’m going to base this off your contest.

So without further ado, here we go:

RULES

  1. Contestants must guess the Month, Day and Time of my birth, down to the hour and minute (for example, June 24 10:10 am) and submit it as a comment to this post. Closest to the correct date and time wins. In the unlikely event of a tie (same number of minutes off), the earlier comment wins.
  2. In order to qualify, you must leave a valid email address in the proper field. It doesn’t need to be in the actual comment, just the email field. Only I will be able to see it, and I need it to notify the winner. You must also have a website and/or blog in the URL field. If when I click on “visit my website” in your comment containing your guess and it does not take me to your website and/or blog your guess will be disqualified.
  3. Only one guess per individual allowed.
  4. Your blog must be at least 60 days old. Removed as of 6/23/09 – DUMB RULE
  5. I will allow each participant to ask 2 comments/questions about my birthday. Any more will be deleted. Each comment/question you ask will either get a yes or no answer. Use them well.
  6. By participating, you agree that I can share your comment in a future post, and mention either your username or first name.
  7. The winning guess will be awarded a $25.00 gift certificate from Amazon.com or iTunes, your choice but only one.
  8. Contestants that are related in any way shape or form and already know my birthday, (I know who you are) are disqualified from the start. I reserve the right to disqualify anyone for any reason.
  9. Void where prohibited, taxed, etc.
  10. Contest will run from Tuesday June 23, 2009 at 12:02 am through Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 11:59 pm
  11. All comments/questions should be directed to this post. I will leave a Page titled My Birthday Contest linking back to this post for easy reference.

To start you off, my birthday is sometime between today and July 31st. I will give a clue a day until June 28, 2009. Winner will be announced Sunday July 5, 2009. Use your comments/questions wisely. I allow only 2. Take note of other comments.

    Good grief. It would be easier to just break into your house and steal your birth certificate to find out then all these guesses; probably more fun too. Lucky for you I’m afraid of aeromaplanes.

          the same as yours. Secondly yes I think Bill over stepped his bounds and owes you an apology. I most certainly would have disqualified you on your first comment Bill you assumed way to much. You should
          know me and you should most certainly know quilly by now. That if we talked about this earlier one of us would have said something. Now kiss and make up and behave!

    I’ll have to read all this over again sometime when I am sober and try to decipher the age of an ageless beach bum friend…not fair you know….Age? what is age but a glimpse into the universe of things…why were we ever born…(No other reason that our parents were supposedly horny…) Why do we die?…no other reason than we have to make room for future generations…Why do we believe in God? because that’s where it all started.
