Fun Monday – Laundry

Jan at Prytz Family is hosting this week’s Fun Monday. Thanks Jan for hosting this week. Direct from her blog here comes the following:
“I’ve decided to host Fun Monday next week. Gattina picked such a fun topic for this week, I’m sure I can’t top it, but here it is: Everyone has laundry. Where do you do yours? Show us your Laundry room, or where you go to get those clothes clean! Photos, please.”
So I’ve decided to show you our laundry area. This is part of the house that I can’t stand for obvious reasons. It just means blood, sweat and tears. Well no not really, but close enough. I despise laundry. I need a maid. Any takers? LOL I hope you enjoy.
Hey, it’s only my opinion.
A Hui Hou

Wow are those outside? SEARS has great appliances. I too bought mine from there. AND they look exactly like yours
I could never show my laundry room it would take me 5 days to clean it.
LOL…you know how they say great minds? Well this is great taste. Pffft no need to clean it up…that’s the beauty of fun monday…go with the flow and show the crappiest area of the house ROFLMAO!!!
That’s a neat area!
I won’t bother with hours. The laundry is in plastic bags right beside the boring washing machine in the bathroom.
Nothing spectacular.
Yeah but see my friend, we all don’t have this. I think ours is boring and I posted it
Glad you liked this area. Care to do my laundry then? ROFLMAO!!!
I don’t think I know anyone who has their washing machine/dryer outside!
I don’t really care for doing the laundry either.
Well now ya do LOL. I hate laundry with a passion
My washing machine is older than yours and I must be this ahead of the times because I acted, “what?” when a friend told me “your washing machine is the kind I see in museums.”
ROFLMAO!!! That is just too funny
WOW, Sears are awfully reliable!
I like Electrolux too.
I used to have them outside too..
you have two washing machine?
I do not have a dryer in Malaysia
as we do have the sun but hubby thinks
we should have one everywhere we live!
Happy Monday, Thom!
hugs
shakira
Well living here you can keep them outside. Nope one’s a washer and ones a dryer. I love clothes hung on the line out in the sun. So fresh and good smelling
Oops…the other was the dryer. Man I need my new glasses!
LOL…join the glass club my friend
LOL
Anyone…and I mean ANYone who LOVES doing laundry has to have their heads examined, right? Which reminds me….it needs to be done. Let’s both call the Kelly girls to show up for us today….
I’ll even leave the clothes in the basket and NOT fold them for days. The cats like that…they can snuzzle up in the clean stuff. LOLOLOL
Oh I’m so with you my friend. I’m with ya on that then we can go play LOL
I don’t mind doing the laundry – it’s the ironing afterwards that I hate.
I don’t iron either. If it comes out wrinkled the first time…it’s a gonner
LOL
Laundry isn’t too bad but ironing!!!! if I buy something that needs to be ironed now I toss it away after its first wash.
Thanks for stopping by. Yeah I agree with you on this one.
Yeah… I hate doing laundry. It seems like I just get finished when Mt. Washmore springs up again!
Meh! But at least you get to do yours outside…?
ROFLMAO Mt. Washmore…very clever my friend
Well the climate here does help doing it outside so Yeah, that’s where it’s done
I don’t mind washing, drying or folding – but the putting away just kills me. I love that your appliances are outside. I used to have a little shed where my washer was and had no dryer – just a clothes line. Now I have a washer and a dryer and they live in my dark garage.
Thanks for stopping by.
I don’t mind putting them away, it’s the folding part that I really despise. LOL Outside, Inside..who cares actually…it’s still a job I despise to do LOL
No bachelor could have his laundry outside, because it would chill our butts and frighten the neighbors when we realize we’re out of clean clothes and decide to wash what we have on.
OMG now there is a thought that I’ve never thought of before
Scary isn’t it LOL
Thom it looks very functional. Good thing you live in Hawaii with those outdoor facilities. You’d freeze your you know what off if you were in the Northwest…
Indeed my friend I certainly would. Another benefit of living in Hawai’i
I have been left with no computer knowledge so I don’t know how to get you pictures. My washer and dryer are in the bathroom behind closed doors. They also are Sears but new. Sears has been the best of the machines I have had.
Description of room: in front of dryer laundry basket filled with clean towels near shower, but on top my daughters piled dirty clothes she hopes I will wash.
I’m amazed the pictures don’t just come up Betty. They should so you can see them. If you click on them it should just make them better. LOL…Pennie is sneaky then LOL And I agree with you about Sears machines
Poor boy ! Pushing a button on a washing machine and a dryer means “blood, sweat and tears” to you ? I could understand that for ironing, lol ! But indeed it’s always better when you have someone who does it for you !
It’s very difficult to catch your posts on your running “features” I get dizzy !
The last fix post was on Friday and I thought you hadn’t published anything ever since, when I suddenly saw “Fun Monday” flying by !
LOl…Oh Madame Chat. You can see all the posts below the featured box as well and they don’t move. Just for you I have slowed it down even more so they don’t go whisking by. It’s not pushing the buttons it’s getting the laundry there, moving between machines, folding and putting away…It takes a lot of work
When we lived in Long Beach, our “laundry” was outside, too. But, here in Murrieta, we have more “weather”, so I’m glad it’s in the garage. thanks for playing along, today. Do you want to host, next week?
It’s better being outside if you ask me.
Makes it easier to have to do that wretched chore. I’m going to watch this for a couple more weeks before trying to host this. I wanna make sure I get what is suppose to be done.
But I will soon
wonderful that the weather allows you to turn your outdoors into a laundry room.
We have to heat our garage in the winter — or ours would freeze! Thank goodness our garage was built with insulation — and our door is insulated too.
Thanks for stopping by.
I think it being outside is really the only thing that makes laundry bearable LOL
Glad you have insulation. You know we don’t even have a heater or insulation in our entire house!!!
You do laundry outside and the machines are that clean?!!? Wow. Just wow.
My laundry “room” is a closet behind shutter-style doors in my kitchen. I miss having an actual laundry room with a door.
Yup that they are. They can stay there all year round to…go figure LOL
Plenty of people have theirs outside here. Guess it’s the weather
I’m with ya oh my darlin’! I hate laundry too! Having it outdoors MIGHT make it better … but NOT with all this pollen! (and certainly not when there’s a foot of snow on the ground…) Hmmmm… Nope… nothing makes laundry better! A maid would probably do it — but MY maid doesn’t do laundry! *sigh*
Oh my darlin’ neither does my maid and nothing…absolutely nothing makes laundry better LOL
After seeing the cool laundry rooms most of you bloggers have, I’m tempted to plan one for myself. I just have a small washing area to do my laundry.
Well ours is just outside the house. Makes it easy that way. But if you do one I hope you enjoy. I sure wouldn’t. It still just means work LOL
We grew up with no dryer and I loved to hang my clothes outside to dry. Now it is just a chore. Either we are the cleanest people in the world or the dirtest. I can’t believe that two people have so much wash.
I take our clothes to the laundry to be pressed and starched. That is a blessing after all the years of ironing.
Have a great day Thom.
I like the clothes just drying on the line as well
And it always amazes me how much laundry one can get as well
Boy you go the extra step and have them ironed and starched? I would never be able to remember to do that.
Have a great day as well
And the washer and dryer are working away as I write and I HATE doing laundry, but one can only go so long without clean clothes! Love yours outdoors, wish I could move ours out, but with all the rain I’d end needing to get into the dryer myself! Fun post for the day and LOVE your photos! LOL! what a hoot! Have a great day, my friend! Mwah!
Sylvia
Glad you enjoyed and too funny that you would need to get in the dryer. LOL I’m so with you on hating to do laundry
Have a great day
Outside? Cool!
Yup outside
i’m not exactly a laundry fan either but what has to be done… pft
pffft…Here Here
Glad to see a new player for fun monday, looks like a nice place to do laundry!
Thanks but no place is a fun place to do laundry LOL
Have a good one
I am impressed with two things. First, your laundry room is outside. Second, you answered every comment.
Well thanks on both accounts.
Thanks for stopping by. Much appreciated.
i would have gladly applied for the job but… unfortunately, you can”t afford me. LOL! i think you are better off with your SEARS.
doing the laundry is one of the meanest errands at home. luckily i don’t have to do it myself… for now.
have a great week, THOM!
LOL so you are expensive huh? I hate laundry. I don’t care who does it. Lol
I should have taken a photo of mine this morning when the appliance repair guy was here and had the guts of my washer strung out all over the place! Why didn’t you tell me about this meme sooner?! Pft!
LOL did you not see it on my blog last week? Hmmm your slipping up there in the cold northwest. LOL. Post it now it’s still Monday. LOL
If you like doing Laundery so much, come to Michigan.
hehehehehe..
Hell no too cold and whatever gave you that idea. LOL
I’m late as usual these days.

I COULDN’T have mine outside. My laundry room is filled with dirty clothes and piles of clean ones – yes there is a problem putting them away.
Does your soap not get wet?
LOL that’s one thing we don’t get is piles of clothes. Nope it’s under an overhang. And rarely does the rain come in that direction and if it does we have a tarp.
Is your “outside” covered? Or maybe it does not rain in Hawaii!!
I have graduated from doing laundry, Zee does ours.
Yup it’s covered. And boy does it rain. I wish I could graduate. LOL
Isn’t your ocean air aggresive? ours is, if I had the machines outside they would be rusty in no time.
I don’t mind doing laundry, I much rather do that than clean the house. Which reminds me…
Well that’s a good point but it must not be as aggressive. Thosr machines you see are 10 years old. After your done can ya clean my house? LOL
Lucky you having them outside! If mine were outside they’d be rusted shut.
I love doing laundry – it’s the only chore I like. Hell I’d come sit on your porch doing laundry *anytime* if it meant staying in Honolulu to do it LOL!
Well get that Irish behind over here then. It’s yours just for this comment
LOL
what cool humor,
you have unique way of doing it.
Indeed
I think it would be cool to have an outdoor laundry room! I never mind putting the laundry in the machine, it’s the folding and putting away that’s a pain!
Thankfully, my girls are beginning to help with that process!
Glad that they are helping you. Wish I had help
I hate doing everything about it LOL
