There were smiles and laughter everywhere. The crowds couldn’t get enough Oooh’s and Aaaw’s filled the air.

The midnight blue sky lit up as if it were being bombarded with the moon’s rays.

Every so often it sounded like a 21 gun salute. BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

    Well done, a holiday 55!

    Our national holiday was back in March, but we’ll be celebrating tomorrow too, because the 4th is my oldest’s birthday. 19 years old, how did that happen? Sometimes I still think of her as five.

    Well, someone has got to be first? As a matter of fact, it’s the same person who always wants the last word too, eh Susan? Hmmm.
    Our National day is on the 21st of July here in Belgium.
    But I think I already told you that. So anyway, happy fourth of July, one day early. If you want me to, I’ll say it again tomorrow. LOL!

    Hi Thom, great post and blog you have here, I came from Jientjes, happy 3rd and 4th July, we always have the parade on the evening of the 3rd here in Benicia and the fireworks on the 4th :-) . ps thanks for helping Jientje get back on line, Kathy.

      Well it’s like this. We are BBQ’ing at my friends and then we walk to the boat ramp where they have a big fireworks display. It’s right around the corner from Lisa’s house. And you? Big plans? Thanks for the great comment :) Aloha
