This is very easy for me. I love all food except for a couple of things that I truly truly despise. Eggs and Liver. Other than that I will always try anything new at least once and generally always like it. There have been a couple, Pigs Feet, Aku (bluefin or Skipjack tuna) Belly, well I’m sure there are more but those two come to mind, that I have tried and didn’t mind but they aren’t on my list of favorites. Now don’t get me wrong. Eggs mixed in with things I don’t mind. It’s just eating them cooked anyway that just disgusts me. I just plain old don’t like the taste of them. And liver. Well it’s in a class all by itself. Everyone always tells me smother them with onions, bacon and/or ketchup and it’s great. Well to me if you do that your disguising the taste of it so why eat it in the first place. I have never seen anyone eat just a plain old slice of liver without anything on it and believe me it will never pass these lips. On the other hand, Pate’ I can eat and liverwurst. I love those. I guess they are mixed with other things. One thing that I must say here is that when I eat I like my food cold better than hot. I just prefer it that way. There are something things like a baked potato or pancakes that I like heated so the butter can melt but for the most part I like my food cold. When I go to a fast food joint I always ask for older fries. I can’t stand them coming out piping hot. Odd I know. As I say I’m easy to please. I’ll try anything at least once.

Your’s truly is hosting this week. And it’s all about Shoes I despise having to wear shoes. But there are some places that we just have to and I don’t have a choice. So here is my entry.

The first picture is of my work shoes. They are from Sears, size 10 1/2 and as wide as they can be. They are old and I have gotten this specific shoe ever since I can remember. They are very comfortable. And before anyone comments that’s my work belt. I just kept it in there for good measure!

This picture, yes with my stinky ass socks, are my walking shoes that I use every day when I walk Nalu. I just got them, size 11 and again as wide as they can be. No shoelaces is what I like. I get a new pair of socks every week as I’m not going to put them in the dirty clothes just for 45 minutes a day of use. Besides it’s my stink and I just figure I’m saving water and soap by not having so many pairs of socks to wash.

And these are without a doubt my favorite. You will see most people here in Hawai’i with these on. My Slippers (what people outside of Hawai’i call Flip-Flops or Thongs or Rubber shoes). If you ever come to Hawai’i you’ve been given the heads up as to what to call them They are size 13. I don’t know what’s up with slippers but you always have to buy bigger than you would with your own regular shoes. I’ve also included a shot of our entry to our house showing where we keep all our slippers. Another heads up you will have is that when you enter someone’s house you go in without any type of shoe on. It’s just custom over here.

Imelda Marcos apparently loved them. I despise them. We all have to use them. Shoes. What would we do without them? So please tell us about your shoes and pictures are encouraged.
