Today is the big day. The winner is announced for My Birthday Contest! WOOT Before the winer is announced I want to thank all those that participated in this. There were some great comments and guesses and I enjoyed doing this. Before I announce the winner I want to go over the clues:

Clue one and two need no explanation

Clue three – In 1970 Aswan Dam opens in Egypt (This was for the day)

Clue four – In 1957 1st black to win a major U.S. tennis tournament, Althea Gibson (This was for the day and/or year)

Her guess was July 21 at 1:01 am. Stacie at SUPER MOMMY TO THE RESCUE and Jientje at Heaven is in Belgium were close with the day being correct and their times were 3:05 pm and 4:27 pm.

    I knew you were born in 1957, just couldn’t remember the date. I read it somewhere on one of the dated pictures of ye on your Photo Sharing Thingy when ye were just a wee broth of a boy, I just couldn’t remember where, as you have 1000’s n’ 1000’s of pictures over there.

    Speaking of pictures, I got one posted on the blog with the Close Up guessing game again. Hopefully you should be able to figure out what this is :) (that’s a hint by the wey)

    Darn. I was in Internet Never, Never Land. I had my comment written out ready to cut and paste. I figured out the Day and YEar, and knew the time was a.m. and most likely 7 something. For my comment I chose 7:10 — but my comment never got posted.

    And I am just as happy that Melli won. No worries of having my ethics challenged again.

    WOOOT! WOW! Yay ME! I knew the date – from all the clues. But that last one for the time – I went to that site, and there was something about some software version 1.01 — so I went with that! (I don’t remember if it was Windows or what it was… when I went back the next day the whole page had changed… so I just stuck with it!) I was really SHOCKED though to find out we were born the same year! I had you AT LEAST 10 years my junior! That one floored me! Thank you sO much Thom! I really didn’t play for a prize though… I just played to have fun!

      LOL…10 years your junior…I so wish…well maybe not. I like the age I am. Well you can see what the two pages had in common. I was hoping someone would notice the Happy Birthday.
