Aloha, Goodbye, Adios, Arrivaderci, Au revoir, Hasta la vista
Well now that I have your attention. LOL. Sorry, pretty cruel I know. I’m not going anywhere. But I wanted to raise the suspicion. What’s this all about you might ask? Do you really even care? Well here’s what is up.
Today after work I went and did something that I’ve been wanting to do for a while. As many of you know I use the iPhone a great deal. Well when the iPad came out I ordered it and WOOT it came in today. So I got to thinking, why don’t I just go all Apple. So after work I went and bought a brand new iMac and router. I just decided that I want all my products with one vendor. I was going to by a Mac Book Pro but the more I thought and after talking to the people at Apple it would seem sorta dumb because of the iPad and iPhone that I have. How much portability/mobility do I really need? hmmm So I decided on the iMac.
Now since the beginning of time I have always been a PC user so this is going to be something totally new to me. It’s going to take me some time to get use to how Apple does things and I want to set this new system up with a clean slate. So I’m going to be away from blogging for a while. I don’t know how long but until I get all my iTunes, bookmarks, address and calendar set up and things running smoothing I’m going to be away. I’ll try and pop in every once in a while. I don’t think this is going to take more than a week but who knows. I’m very anal about things and want this set up correctly.
So Boys and Girls play nice while I’m away. If you want to drop me an email, go for it. Have fun and I’ll see ya on the flip side.

My first computer was a Mac…then I went to a PC because at the time, there was hardly anything online a Mac could access.
I have a PC and it means well….but deep down, I think I resent Bill Gates’ and his quest for world dominance.

My son’s first computer was a Mac that I bought for him when he was 10 and he taught me enough about computers for me to get back in the workplace doing something besides teaching! Now after all these years he just bought a new Mac and he’s loving it! Hope you do the same! You’ll be missed, but have fun!

I’ve actually used both and I’m pretty loyal on the PC (sans IE of course). But, good news, my daughter’s iPad came today and she has no idea…can’t wait to test it out!

If you’re a satisfied customer with the brand, I can’t argue with that. Just don’t go all apple/mac self-righteous, ’cause my observation is that excessive mac bragging brings on computer failure. Then, try as I might, I can’t help feeling a little smug. 
Seriously, have fun with you’re new toys, and do remember that you have friends here that will miss you if you stay away too long.

I just updated my iphone from a 3G to a 3GS today. Took the sim card out of the old one and gave it to my oldest son. Now he can use it like an ipod. It was a win-win.
We checked out the ipad while we were at the Apple store. Wow, they are a cool gadget for sure. Maybe by this summer I’ll have the extra dollars to get one.

Thom, welcome to the club! You’re going to find you have more free time because you spend less time making your computer work and more time working on your computer.
BTW, we love our iPad! And I’ve always used both PC and Mac, but now find myself with *NO* PC products after selling my Acer – and haven’t looked back.
