Aloha Friday – #126

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday. This is hosted by Kailani at An Island Life. Mahalo my friend for hosting. You can get further instructions by clicking that link or on the picture above. Direct from her blog comes the following:
“In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link on her blog. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!”
So my question is:
Do you use solar in your house?
My answer is:
We do and have had for 10 years. It is for our hot water tank.
Have a great Aloha Friday everyone!
Hey, it’s only my opinion.
A Hui Hou

Only in my dream house!
Well, actually, with the way my husband uses curtains and mini-blinds, we sort of do (and in the summer, DON’T!) use solar energy. Every little bit helps with the bills!
Isn’t that the truth. The energy bills are sky rocketing
Yes, we have had it for 5 months now, Love it.
Here’s your link to my Aloha Friday Post.

It’s the bomb!!!
Depends how you define solar around here..hheehee (there’s always one wise cracker isn’t there?)
And I always so leave it up to you LOL
Our house isn’t set up for it, but I think it is a wonderful idea.
.-= Barbara H.´s last blog ..Top o’ the mornin’ to you! =-.
It is and it’s sooo worth it
no but think it is a great idea, we live in an older house right now
Yeah we didn’t get it until we built ours
No, but LOVE the idea. =D
It’s wonderful. Helps our electric bill
No, not a lot of that around here in NY. Would love to have it when (positive thinking here) we move one day.
ROFLMAO!!! I take it that NY isn’t your favorite place to live LOL
I wish we were using solar around here.
PS no worries about the challenge. Take your time.

It’s great and my challenge is ready to go tonight
WOOT!!!
No, but I hope to one day soon. It’s qutie an investment, but I know it’ll be worth it!
It is and with all the tax incentives it makes it well worth it. Sure helps with our electric bill I tell ya
I thought for sure you would say, “Yes, they are called windows.”
Flash 55 – Help?
Ar Ar Ar LOL Too funny
Such a wit you have. I love it
i don’t suppose it would work all that great when the sun refuses to show up for friggin’ 3 months
.-= juliana´s last blog ..Pipistrelle =-.
No I don’t think it would work too well for ya
Poor thing!!!
That’s one source of alternative energy we don’t have — of course we’re not exactly in an ideal place for it LOL
Sun? Who he?
.-= Susan at Stony River´s last blog ..Friday Flash 55: Oopsie =-.
Maybe do a rain dance. Ya think?
A group of us actually *did* try to come up with a sort of contraption that would set up tiny water wheels along the roof gutter and in the drainpipes, to harvest the mighty power of the constant rainfall…
Unfortunately the idea didn’t survive the next morning’s hangover.
Pfft, Ireland.
Too much Guiness perhaps? Damn the beer. LOL And man the torpedos. LOL
This place has no solar hook up, but I use it for my house plants and I will use it if I ever get the garden started.
.-= quilly´s last blog ..Start Here: Doing Hard Things Right Where You Are, by Alex & Brett Harris =-.
How will you use it for a garden. I’m confused.
Hello? Plants grow in SUNshine. Sheesh. I will use solar power to grow my veggies rather than gas power to buy them at the store!
.-= quilly´s last blog ..Toasting Breakfast =-.
No, we would love to but do not currently have the money to install it.
Yeah it’s expensive all right.
Yes, we do. Might as well take advantage of the Hawaiian sun!
Indeed my friend. Indeed
WISH no such thing like that around here unless you count the walk way light out in front
LOL…well that’s stretching it a bit LOL
