GROWTH

It was like navigating the Amazon Rain Forest deep in the bowels of earth.
Thick and overgrown.
He looked and thought deeply of how to begin trimming the vast growth it embodied.
How could it be left so un-kept he wondered?
Sharpening his utensil he began.
His nose hairs fell gently to the sink below.

    LOL….here I had pictured a guy working on a hedge or something ’til the very last line. This rocks!!! Excellent Thom.

    Thank god – nose hair, I was starting to blush. Gone for a poem this week based on the Etheree form created about twenty years ago by an Arkansas poet named Etheree Taylor Armstrong It normally consists of ten lines of unmetered and unrhymed verse, the first line having one syllable, each succeeding line adding a syllable. I added an extra row for the word count and the punch line. See what I mean here.
