How Much Structure Do You Need?, 2009 – What a Year In Pictures and Ten Thoughts to Ponder for 2010

written by Thom - January 12th, 2010 at 12:01 am

Well this is pretty much me. Schedules and plans I do like however.

You Don’t Need Structure in Your Life

In fact, you prefer life to be a little chaotic. Things get boring when they’re predictable!
You like to shake things up as much as possible. Routine makes you feel like you’re trapped in your life.

You hate rules, schedules, and plans. You feel like life is much better when you’re able to be spontaneous.
You’ve been known to purposely break a rule from time to time. It’s fun to life on the edge!

2009 – WHAT A YEAR IN PICTURES

TEN THOUGHTS TO PONDER FOR 2010

Number 10

Life is sexually transmitted.

Number 9

Good health is merely the slowest possible rate at which one can die.

Number 8

Men have two emotions: Hungry and Horny. If you see him without an erection, make him a sandwich.

Number 7

Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day, teach a person to use the Internet and they won’t bother you for weeks.

Number 6

Some people are like a Slinky … Not really good for anything, but you still can’t help but smile when you shove them down the stairs.

Number 5

Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals, dying of nothing.

Number 4

All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to Criticism.

Number 3

Why does a slight tax increase cost you $200.00, and a substantial tax cut saves you $30.00?

Number 2

In the 60′s, people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is Weird and people take Prozac to make it normal.

And The Number 1 Thought For 2010

“Life is like a jar of Jalapeno peppers; What you do today, might Burn Your Ass Tomorrow”

Hey, It’s only my opinion.

  1. that peace/piece prize award – LOL!

    and that list was hilarious!

hope you’re having a wonderful day my friend!!

  2. The picture is hilarious!

  3. The #1 thought is just SO true!

  4. I knew what the answer would be, but the quiz confirmed it. I need some structure, but I like some “chaos and disorder.” I’m flexible.

Great photo, btw. Tiger – what an idiot.

Great life thoughts. And how true!

  5. Thom;

Best list that I’ve read ,What a riot!
I can’t dissagree with any of the ten. I also think Tiger is a good contender for next years piece prize.
Number 10 sums it all up!

  6. Well, surprise, surprise! I don’t need structure in my life. And that is definitely the best list yet! Of course I agree with it completely. What a hoot! Great way to start my day, Thom! Hope you have a great day!

  7. I like both the title of today’s post and #2 on your list.

I suspect if you ask a lunatic in a padded cell how much structure he needs, he’ll tell you none at all but if you ask a man out in a storm he’ll say any will do.

  8. Apparently, I need structure. Who woulda guessed? :P In real life this is probably slightly exaggerated, but pretty true.

You Need Structure in Your Life
You take comfort in your routine, and any deviation from it makes you feel quite nervous. You like things to be structured and decided. You want to know what’s going to happen.

The unknown makes you very nervous. If you know something is going to happen, at least you can prepare for it. You like to have a plan A, a plan B, and if possible, plans C and D. Even if you can’t plan for everything, you try!

    Mwah! xxoo

  9. Too funny # cracked me up!
I think some of your test is wrong “You hate rules, schedules, and plans.” Rules Ok I can see you totally thinking are made to be broken but the schedule and plan thing at least with your blog it doesn’t fit you! You’re so complex!!!!!
    xoxoxoxoxoxox

    • LOL…that’s why sweetie I said in the beginning the same about schedules and plans. Complex you say? Hmmm I have to agree :) Rules…crap I’ll break ‘em LOL You know me too well :) xoxoxox

  10. wow you have did it again great picture so funny and the list is great I am totally opposite as I want to know what we are doing before we do it

  11. Another non-structured one over here, and your thoughts to ponder cracked me up. Especially 6, 7 and 8.

  12. I loved that list: those are words to live by!!
    ROFL

  13. They are all WAY too funny! They remind me of the stuff I grab for my Bud’s Laws. But most are funnier. LMAO at “Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals, dying of nothing.” Have a great day…

  14. Piece ass winner lol :-) I love the list, especially “dying of nothing”

I need some structure in my life, according to the quiz:

You’re the type of person who makes a plan but doesn’t necessarily stick to it.
You like to have things roughly organized. However, you always are open to new experiences and change.

You don’t like too much chaos, but you also don’t like to be stuck in a rut. You like to strike a happy medium.
Whenever things get too routine you like to shake it up a little, even if it means stepping outside of your comfort zone.

  15. who needs structure at all? pft! (ain’t that obvious?)

    the list is a riot!

  16. I ended up not needing much structure.
    >Just the other day I quoted number 5.
    Interesting list.

  17. I didn’t take the quiz. Nope. After two years of early retirement I KNOW I don’t need structure in my life! :)
    LOVED the list!
Hope it’s been a great day for you.

  18. # 8, does it have to be a specific sandwich to perform the job?

All your answers are very funny!

  19. LMAO!! Whenever I need a ‘pick me up’ I can always count on you & your hilarious posts. Thanks so much for the laugh, my friend.

  20. THat top 10 list was HILARIOUS. I especially love number 8?!?!? Mind if i share it along?!?
